LWH47. BR ex- LMS Stanier 2-6-4 Tank Loco No. 42464. In plain BR black with early crest, lightly weathered, and shedplate 11D Oxenholme (Cumbria). This is an older model part kit and part scratchbuilt with a milled chassis and fitted with solid cast wheels, sprung centre driving axle, substantial motor, worm and wheel drive, and good cab detail with crew. It has a removable roof. The model has had medium use and the worm and wheel is slightly noisy as is often the case with this type of drive. The prototype was into service from Derby Works in October 1936 and was withdrawn from Newton Heath (Manchester) in August 1965. It was at Oxenholme in late LMS days until moving to Carnforth in June 1962 (with a short loan spell at Stoke in 1960). £495.
