LJWN21. Great Eastern Railway Holden '1500' Class 4-6-0 Loco and Tender No. 1511 as a RESTORATION PROJECT. In Great Eastern Railway lined blue livery. These were better known by their LNER designation B12. This is well built in brass, probably scratchbuilt, and well painted. It is an older model having been lightly used but the cast steel wheels fitted are too coarse for finescale running so it will not handle Peco points. Also there is a problem with the motor (type unknown) in that it seems OK running in reverse but is reluctant going forward. Other than these issues it is a nice model and a good example of its type and would make a nice project for conversion to a finescale model with suitable wheels and motor. The prototype was into service from Stratford Works in May 1913 as No. 1511. It became LNER No. 8511 in 1924 reverting to LNER No. 1511 in 1946 and subsequently BR No. 61511. It was withdrawn from Kittybrewster in May 1952, thirty one of the B12's ending their days on the ex- Great North of Scotland Railway where they moved in the 1930's due to a shortage of power. PRICE REDUCTION TO £725 AS A RESTORATION PROJECT.
