LJWN22. Somerset and Dorset Railway Fowler Class 7F Small Boilered 2-8-0 Loco and Tender No. 83. In plain S&DJR black livery and paired with a Deeley tender. This is from an Alan Gibson brass kit and fitted with good quality cast steel wheels (split axle insulated in the style of Alan Harris), small Buhler motor, worm and wheel drive, American pickup system and good cab detail. The model is to a good standard of amateur build and paint and has had medium use on a working layout. Supplied in its original box. The model is noisy in reverse and is missing the fall plate between loco and tender. The prototype was into service from Derby Works in April 1914 as S&DJR No. 83. It became LMS No. 9673 in 1930 then renumbered to LMS No. 13803 in 1932, and finally BR No. 53803. It was withdrawn from Bath Green Park in February 1962 and may have spent its whole life there or at Templecombe. PRICE REDUCTION TO £695.
