LJEP04. Great Western Railway 'Dean Goods' 0-6-0 and Tender No. 2449. In GWR plain green with 'Great Western' on the tender in gold shaded red as used post- 1922 up to 1934. This is professionally built and painted from a brass kit (possibly by Martin Finney) and is fitted with a Portescap motor/gearbox, fully working inside motion, full compensation on the loco with a little bit on the tender, Slaters wheels, and with excellent cab detail and crew. The model is lightly used. The prototype was into service from Swindon Works in July 1893. A B4 boiler presumably with the Belpaire firebox as modelled was fitted in August 1908. It appears to have spent much time on the Cambrian section and was withdrawn from Oswestry in January 1953. £1795.
