LJEP02. Great Western Railway 'Dean Goods' 0-6-0 and Tender No. 2322. In fully lined GWR passenger green with garter crest as used circa 1906 to 1927/28. This is probably part kit and part scratchbuilt by renowned modeller Brian Broumpton and carries his maker's plate on the underside (the doubt is because it definately has a Vulcan kit tender so I must assume the model started life as a Vulcan kit). Painted and lined by Alan Brackenborough. Fitted with solid cast wheels, compensation on the leading 2 axles, worm and wheel drive (probably with a Mashima motor or similar) and with excellent cab detail and crew. The model has had medium use. The prototype was into service from Swindon Works in January 1884 and had a B4 boiler fitted (presumably with the Belpaire firebox as modelled) in November 1901. It was withdrawn from Bristol Bath Road in June 1951. Some of the Dean Goods class did carry the full GWR passenger livery pre- 1928. £1300.
