LJMA34. BR ex- LMS Stanier Class '8F' 2-8-0 Loco and Tender No. 48184. Paired with a Stanier rivetted tender and in plain BR black with early crest and shedplate 18A Toton. Also with the 'star' on the cabside to denote wheels balanced for higher speed running. This is an older used model from an Oakville brass kit and fitted with a Portescap motor/gearbox, Slaters wheels, and with excellent cab detail (in plain black). There is no cab glazing currently fitted and also the cab doors are off (but included with the model). The prototype was into service from North British Locomotive Company (Glasgow) in April 1942. It was at Toton from 1950 to 1962 with a brief spell at Westhouses, then was withdrawn from Westhouses in July 1965. It was probably a regular performer on the Toton to Brent/Cricklewood heavy coal trains. RESERVED.
