LDD09. GWR Collett 'Hall' Class 4-6-0 Loco and Tender No. 4930 'Hagley Hall'. In Great Western lined green with 'twin cities' crest as used circa 1927 to 1934. This is from a brass kit built by John Delaney in 2006 (signed on the underside). Fitted with solid cast wheels, compensation on the two leading driving axles, unknown can motor type with a plastic final drive gear, and very good cab detail. The model is well weighted and has had medium use. The prototype was into service from Swindon Works in May 1929 and was withdrawn from Swindon shed in December 1963 having been well travelled during its lifetime, clocking up almost 1.3 million miles. It was at Westbury from October 1953 to May 1958. Having been bought by Woodhams of Barry in 1964 it was rescued for preservation in 1972 by the Severn Valley Railway and returned to steam in 1979. Following a long period of 34 years out of service it has recently been the subject of another major overhaul and return to traffic. PRICE REDUCTION TO £595.
