LSAS30. London, Brighton & South Coast Railway Stroudley 0-4-2 Tender Loco No. 214 'Gladstone'. In Stroudley’s 'Improved Engine Green' livery. This is kit or scratchbuilt and fitted with a Portescap motor/gearbox, solid cast wheels, and good cab detail. This is an older model, lightly used, and a slightly hesitant runner. The prototype was was built at Brighton Works in 1882 as the first of its class and was withdrawn by the Southern Railway in April 1927. Thanks to the efforts of the Stephenson Locomotive Society it was the first example of a private preservation and the only LBSCR tender loco to survive. Now part of the National Collection. £550.
