LJWN33. LNER ex- North Eastern Railway Worsdell Class G5 0-4-4 Tank Loco No. 1737 as a RESTORATION PROJECT. In plain LNER black livery. This is from a Connoisseur brass kit and fitted with a multi-stage gearbox, Buhler or similar motor, Slaters wheels, extra pickups on the trailing truck (one missing), and excellent cab detail. The model has had medium use of a working layout and the trailing truck needs adjusting as the loco is tending to sit too high on this which raises the rear driving wheels enough for them to slip. Also the pickups need cleaning and adjusting. The prototype was into service from Darlington Works in August 1896 as No. 1737 becoming LNER No. 7273 in 1946 and BR No. 67273 in 1948. It was withdrawn from Selby in May 1957 having been much travelled in the NER area (Starbeck, Malton, Darlington, West Auckland, Hull Botanic Gardens and possibly other allocations). RESERVED.
