LCR02. BR ex- LMS Stanier Black 5 4-6-0 Loco and Tender No. 45460. With separate dome and topfeed and paired with a rivetted tender and with token apparatus on the cabside for single line working. In lined BR black with early crest, weathered, and shedplate 63A Perth. This is from an Oakville brass kit fitted with an ABC gearbox, Canon motor, Slaters wheels, compensation on the leading 2 tender axles, American pickup system, and with very good cab detail. The model has had medium use on a working layout. The prototype was into service from Crewe Works in October 1938 as LMS No. 5460 becoming BR No. 45460. It was a Scottish loco all its BR life (Perth, Dundee, Inverness, Corkerhill, Ayr) being withdrawn from Ayr in June 1965. What a pity that Scotland did not have a Guardian Angel like Dai Woodham in Wales. PRICE REDUCTION TO £895.
