LSAS36. Caledonian Railway McIntosh '55 Class' or 'Oban Bogie' 4-6-0 Tender Loco No. 55. In Caledonian Railway lined blue livery. This is kit or scratchbuilt by Scottish Scale Locomotive Works and carries their plate on the underside. Fitted with a Canon motor, multi-stage gearbox, Slaters wheels and good (but basic) cab detail. Also with a single line tablet catcher fitted. The model has had medium use, requires cab front window glazing, and would need extra weight added for heavy haulage. The prototype was into service from St. Rollox Works in May 1902 as a mixed traffic loco, the '55' class intended for the Callender & Oban line. It became LMS No. 14600 and was withdrawn in either September 1929 or August 1934, depending on which source of reference you look at. RESERVED.
