CQL40. A Rake of Five LMS Stanier Coronation Scot Corridor Coaches. Painted in 1937 Coronation Scot blue and silver livery as part of a 5 coach rake of Train No. 1. These are from Sidelines brass kits built and painted by Tower Models as part of the Tower Collection. Comprising (1) Brake/First No. 5052 to Diagram D1961. (2) Kitchen Car No. 30084 to Diagram D1912. (3) Open Third No. 8996 to Diagram D1981. (4) Open First No. 7507 to Diagram D1981. (5) Brake/Third No. 5812 to Diagram D1905. Note that a matching LMS Stanier blue Coronation Scot loco is also available on this website (if remaining unsold). The coaches are very lightly used, are fitted with screw couplings, and are supplied in their original Sidelines boxes. The Coronation Scot service was introduced by the LMS in 1937 for the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, using existing coaches but repainted in silver and blue livery to match the new streamlined locomotives.
