LDAC08. BR ex- LMS ex- Midland Railway Johnson 3F 'Standard Goods' 0-6-0 and Tender No. 43295. In plain weathered BR black with early crest and shedplate 20F Skipton. This is from a David Andrews brass kit and fitted with an ABC gearbox (probably with a Canon motor), Slaters wheels, a little bit of compensation on the centre driving axle, American pickup system, and very good cab detail. The model has had medium use. The prototype was into service from Neilson, Reid &Co. (Glasgow) in 1891 as MR No. 1968 being renumbered to No. 3295 in 1907. It retained this number through LMS days becoming BR No. 43295 in 1948. It was at Skipton at the time of Nationalisation in 1948 and stayed there until 1958, moving to Lancaster Green Ayre then to Warrington Dallam a year later from where it was withdrawn in October 1961.
