Models for Golden Age Models and comprise the following. (A) Third Class Brake/Parlour 'Car No. 79.' (B) Third Class Kitchen 'Car No. 67'. (C) First Class Kitchen Car 'Thelma'. (D) First Class Parlour Car 'Agatha'. (E) Third Class Parlour 'Car No. 75'. (F) Third Class Kitchen 'Car No. 69'. (G) First Class Parlour Car 'Sheila'. (H) First Class Kitchen Car 'Phyllis'. (I) Third Class Parlour 'Car No. 74'. (J) Third Class Brake/Parlour 'Car No. 80’. These highly detailed brass models were factory built in brass and have been unavailable for some time. Fitted with interior lighting, highly detailed interior and underframe, opening doors and glass windows. Also fitted with roller bearing axles fitted for smooth running. The models are all supplied in their original boxes (a couple have instructions included) and have been used on a working layout. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING. In order to run as a heavy 10-car rake, the electrical pickups for the interior lighting have been disconnected and pulled back/twisted so they are no longer in contact with the wheels thus significantly reducing friction/drag. In at least one instance a pickup is missing altogether. Also the electrical wiring has been cut back, so some work is required in order to get the interior lighting working again should that be required (but there would be little point in doing it if the new owner also wants to run the set as a 10-Coach rake). I would also recommend that a loco with nothing less than a large Buhler/Crailcrest motor or a German 'Faulhaber' motor is needed to haul this rake of ten Pullman cars, even with the roller bearing axles fitted and with the friction on the wheels reduced by retarding the pickups. Faulhaber motors were fitted to the Golden Age A1's, A2's and A4's and some later versions of the L.H. Loveless A3's and A4's. £4995 for the Rake of Ten Pullmans.
