LDH21. BR ex- LNER Gresley A3 Pacific 4-6-2 and Tender No. 60086 'Gainsborough'. In BR green with late crest, quite heavily weathered, and shedplate 50B Leeds Neville Hill. Paired with a non-corridor tender. This is a brass model by By Sunset Models and fitted with working inside motion and excellent cab detail with crew. Also fitted with DCC and sound using a Zimo chip (address 6008), and with working headlights. The model has had medium use. The prototype was into service from Doncaster Works to Gateshead in April 1930 as LNER No. 2597. It became No. 86 in the LNER 1946 renumbering scheme and subsequently BR No. 60086. It was withdrawn from Neville Hill in November 1963 having been there since 1949. The loco is named after the racehorse 'Gainsborough' which in 1918 won the 2,000 Guineas, Epsom Derby, St. Leger Stakes and Ascot Gold Cup so a clean sweep of that year's classics. £1100.
