LQL16. LMS Hughes ‘Crab’ 2-6-0 and tender No. 13098. In LMS lined passenger crimson lake livery, painted by Larry Goddard and signed (in 1985) on the underside. This was kitbuilt by M. Cragg (probably from the Chowbent kit) and fitted with Mashima motor, multi-stage gearbox, Slaters wheels and with excellent cab detail. This substantial model is lightly used, the motor/gearbox combination is somewhat noisy, and cab glazing is required. The fall plate between loco and tender is supplied not currently fitted. The prototype was into service from Crewe Works in December 1927 and was withdrawn from Leeds Holbeck in December 1963 having spent its whole BR life there. PRICE REDUCTION TO £750.
