LSL112. BR ex- LMS Stanier ‘Duchess’ Pacific 4-6-2 Loco and Tender No. 46248 ‘City of Leeds’. In BR lined maroon with late crest and shedplate 5A Crewe North, also with AWS fitted and electrification flashes representing the loco as running in the early 1960’s. This is from a DJH/Tower Collection brass and whitemetal kit recently completed by a top class modelmaker and painted by Conrad Cooper (signed). Fitted with an ABC multi-stage gearbox, Maxxon 10 watt motor, Slaters wheels, and superb cab detail. The model has been test run only and is supplied in its original box, but note that the box length is too long for Royal Mail so it will be shipped and insured via DHL (at cost price). The prototype was into service from Crewe Works to Camden in streamlined form in October 1943 (the last one built as such) being de-streamlined in December 1946. Spending its time between Crewe, Camden and Carlisle Upperby it was withdrawn from Crewe North in September 1964. £2500.
