LDD08. BR ex- Southern Railway Maunsell 'Schools' 4-4-0 Loco and Tender No. 30926 'Repton'. In lined BR green with late crest and shedplate 70D Basingstoke. This is from a David Andrews brass kit and fitted with a multi-stage gearbox, Slaters wheels, extra pickups on the bogie, and excellent cab detail. The model is lightly used and is very well built and well weighted, with paintwork to a good amateur standard. The prototype was into service from Eastleigh Works in May 1934 and was withdrawn from Basingstoke in December 1962. After a period in storage it was preserved in 1966 and from 1967 to 1989 was based at Steamtown USA, situated in Bellows Falls, Vermont. After return to the UK it has been based at the North Yorks Moors Railway. PRICE REDUCTION TO £795.
