LJWN13. Great Eastern Railway Holden Class D56 'Claud Hamilton' 4-4-0 Loco and Tender No. 1863. In Great Eastern lined dark blue livery. This is an older scratchbuilt model built and painted to a good amateur standard and fitted with solid cast wheels, a large can motor, worm and wheel drive gear, and basic cab detail. The model has had medium use and has a couple of issues. (1) The wheels appear to be to coarse scale standards so this is not for finescale running through Peco points or similar. (2) The motor/gear combination is noisy running forward and noisier in reverse. The prototype was into service from Stratford Works in 1903 in a batch of ten numbered 1860 - 1869. They became LNER Nos. 8860 - 8869 as LNER class D14, renumbered to Nos. 2531 - 2540 in the LNER 1946 renumbering scheme. By BR days GER No. 1863 had become BR No. 62534 and was withdrawn from Cambridge in November 1958. PRICE REDUCTION TO £550.
