LDS009. BR ex-LMS Stanier Rebuilt 'Royal Scot' 4-6-0 and Tender No. 46127 'Old Contemptibles'. In lined BR green livery with early crest, weathered, with shedplate 6J Holyhead. This is a substantial model from a Gladiator Models brass kit and fitted with a Portescap motor/gearbox, Slaters wheels, a little bit of compensation on the leading 2 driving axles, and with very good cab detail. The model has had medium use and runs fine but the wheels and some of the electrical pickups need cleaning (pickups may need adjustment), and the motor/gearbox is a touch noisy. The Fowler unrebuilt prototype was into service from The North British Locomotive Company (Glasgow) in September 1927 as No. 6127 originally named 'Novelty'. It was rebuilt by Stanier into taper boilered form in August 1944 and as BR No. 46127 was withdrawn from Carlisle Upperby in December 1962. RESERVED.
