LWA03. Barry Railway Class 'K' 0-6-2 Tank Loco No. 119. Professionally painted in Barry Railway fully lined and panelled maroon livery. This is a brass model probably from a kit and fitted with a single reduction gearbox, Mashima motor, Slaters wheels and working inside motion driven from a crank on the centre axle. Also with basic cab detail and removable roof (so cab detail could be improved if required). The model has had medium use and is wired with reverse polarity (so 'forward' on the controller is 'reverse' and vice-versa). The prototype was American built by Cooke Locomotive Works of Paterson, New Jersey in 1899. This is almost certainly due to UK loco builders having full order books at the time. The 5 members of the class passed into GWR ownership but were scrapped between 1927 and 1932. £995.
