LDM27. Great Western Railway Collett 'Grange' 4-6-0 and Tender No. 6836 'Estevarney Grange'. In GWR plain green livery, weathered, with shirtbutton/roundel emblem as running circa 1934 - 1942. This is from a Scorpio brass kit built and painted by Dave Murdoch. Fitted with a Canon motor, ABC multi-stage gearbox, Slaters wheels, roller bearings on the loco and tender, dummy inside motion, and with very good cab detail and crew (including a bowler-hatted loco inspector). Note that the electrical pickups are on the tender wheels. The prototype was into service from Swindon Works in September 1937 and was withdrawn from Worcester in August 1965. Its more familiar pre-war territory was St. Philips Marsh (Bristol) and later Penzance, Newton Abbot and Laira where its spent its time between 1953 and 1961. £1100.
