LPHG09. LNER Gresley Class J50 0-6-0 Tank Loco No. 8975. In LNER plain black livery, lightly weathered. This is a brass model by Sancheng for Finescale Brass and fitted with working inside motion, compensation on the leading 2 axles, and with excellent cab detail. The model is supplied in its original box having been very lightly used, and is a touch noisy in reverse. The prototype to a Gresley Great Northern Railway design was into service from Doncaster Works as LNER No. 2972 in April 1930. It was renumbered to No. 8975 in the 1946 LNER renumbering scheme, becoming BR No. 68975 in 1948. It was a long term Annesley resident and was withdrawn from Kings Cross in July 1961 after a short period there. £425.
