CEJ02. LNWR Set of 5 Bogie Non-Corridor Coaches in Coarse Scale Tinplate by Darstaed. In LNWR lined livery and comprising (1) 5-compartment Brake Third No. 958/967 (different numbers each side). (2) 8-compartment All Third No. 875. (3) 7-compartment All First No. 1059. (4) 8-compartment All Third No. 912. (5) 5-compartment Brake Third No. 958/967 (different numbers each side). These were commercially produced by Darstaed (early 2000's I think) with litho printed sides and slide-off removable roofs for access to the interiors. This set appears to have had their wheels changed to less coarse scale but not quite finescale versions (wheel flanges are still oversized). However they do run on my finescale track and through points reasonably happily. The coaches are fitted with electric lighting but this depends on one of the Brake coaches having a replacement bogie, with electrical pickups, fitted. This bogie is included with the set but has the original coarse scale wheels fitted. Once this is fitted there are electrical coneections that run through the set coach to coach but the electrics have not been tested. The coaches are lightly used and are supplied in their original inner and outer boxes with the lighting kit (based on the replacement bogie), original wheels, spare wheel nuts and spare lamps. £300 for the Set of Five Coaches.
