Great Western Railway 'Achilles' Class Dean Single 4-2-2 Loco and Tender No. 3004 'Black Prince — Steamline Ltd.

LJEP20. Great Western Railway 'Achilles' Class Dean Single 4-2-2 Loco and Tender No. 3004 'Black Prince'. In fully lined and panelled 1898 to 1906 GWR green livery. This is a brass model by H. K. Trains of Korea for Lee Marsh Models in 2012 (Order No. 109). This is a DC model but has a 2-wire speaker connection between loco and tender in case DCC is subsequently fitted. Also please note that all the electronics including motor/gearbox and electrical pickups are in the tender. The model has been very lightly used as a display model and is supplied in its original inner and outer boxes with instructions and gloves (no accessories but Lee sometimes has spare sets for sale). The prototype was into service from Swindon Works in February 1892 as a 2-2-2, rebuilt to a 4-2-2 in November 1894. The class eventually totalled 80 locos and No. 3004 was withdrawn in October 1911. The 'Black Prince' was the eldest son of Edward III. £1950.
