LPHG03. BR Peppercorn Class A2 Pacific 4-6-2 and Tender No. 60526 'Sugar Palm'. In lined BR green livery with late crest and shedplate 50A York. This is a brass model by FC Models of Korea for Golden Age Models. Fitted with all the usual Golden Age refinements including the superb Faulhaber motor, fully working inside motion, opening smokebox door with internal detail and superb cab detail. Additionally fitted with DCC and sound by South West Digital using an ESU Loksound chip (address 6052), and it will also run on DC voltage with limited sound functions. Also fitted with a double Seuthe smoke unit. The model is lightly used, but the smoke unit has not been tested (smoke oil is included with the model). It is supplied in its original inner and outer boxes along with photocopied Golden Age instructions and South West Digital DCC instructions (these are for an A4 but will be very similar to an A2). Note that due to the box length, UK or International insured shipping is by DHL only (at cost price) as Royal Mail limits are exceeded. The prototype was into service from Doncaster Works to York in January 1948 so really a BR loco but one of the very last built by the LNER. It spent its whole life at York other than a short loan to Leeds Neville Hill in January 1948, and was withdrawn from York in November 1962. 'Sugar Palm' the horse was the winner of the Stewards' Cup at Goodwood in 1942 and 1943. SOLD.
