LGST115. LNER Gresley Class A4 Pacific 4-6-2 and Tender No. 4495 'Golden Fleece'. In pre-war fully valanced condition, paired with a corridor tender, and in LNER lined blue livery as running on the 'West Riding Limited'. This is well built and painted from a DJH Limited Edition whitemetal and brass kit and fitted with an ABC multi-stage gearbox with a Maxon or similar motor, compensation on the leading 2 loco driving axles with a little bit on the 4 tender axles, Slaters wheels, and with excellent cab detail. It has a screw coupling on the loco with a Kadee type coupling on the tender which drops down to reveal a hook. The model is lightly used and is supplied in its original DJH box. The prototype was into service from Doncaster Works to Doncaster Shed as LNER No. 4495 in August 1937. It became No. 30 in the LNER 1946 renumbering scheme and subsequently BR No. 60030. After only a month running-in at Doncaster it moved to Kings Cross where it spent the next 25 years allocated there or at Grantham, being withdrawn from KX in December 1962 thence returning to Doncaster, never to reappear. £1495.
