LKR46. GWR Churchward Class '43xx' 2-6-0 Loco and Tender No. 4303. In plain GWR green heavily weathered with 'Great Western' in gold shaded red as used circa post- World War I up to 1934. This is a substantial model kitbuilt in brass and fitted with a worm and wheel drive (not sure of the motor type but this type of drive is usually fitted to Mashima motors). Also fitted with solid cast loco wheels, Slaters tender wheels, compensation on the two leading loco axles, and with very good cab detail and crew. The model has had medium use with some loss of paint at the rear of the cab. Also the fall plate between loco and tender is detached but present. The prototype was into service from Swindon Works in June 1911 and from January 1934 spent a long period at Pontypool Road moving to Cardiff Canton in November 1951. It was withdrawn from there a year later. £895.
