LCT02. BR Fairburn LMS Designed Class 4P 2-6-4 Tank Loco No. 42096. In lined BR black with 'British Railways' in full as running circa 1950, and shedplate 73A Stewarts Lane. Painted by Conrad Cooper (signed). This is from a brass kit and fitted with a multi-stage gearbox with a Canon or similar motor, Slaters wheels, compensation on the leading and trailing driving axles, and with excellent cab detail. Additionally fitted with DCC (no sound) using a TCS (Train Control Systems) chip - address 2096. It will also run on DC. The model is lightly used. The prototype was into service from Brighton Works in 1950 as one of the last batch of 11 locos built there, to an LMS Fairburn design the first locos entering service from Derby in 1945. It was withdrawn in 1966 from Lostock Hall (Preston) having previously been at Tunbridge Wells, Ashford and Watford. £950.
