LDAT03. GWR 'Achilles' class Dean Single 4-2-2 and Tender No. 3032 'Agamemnon'. In fully lined and panelled GWR green livery with scroll crest as used circa 1898 to 1906. This is from a Limited Edition brass kit by DJB Engineering, of which only 50 kits were produced. Fitted with a Portescap motor/gearbox, solid cast wheels, American pickup system and with excellent cab detail. The model is lightly used. The prototype was into service from Swindon Works in July 1894, had a replacement boiler in 1911, and was withdrawn in October 1913. Named after the greek king Agamemnon, but as HMS Agamemnon was Nelson's favourite battleship, built between 1777 and 1781 at Bucklers Hard on the Beaulieu River in Hampshire. £1395.
