LGST136. Midland & South West Junction Railway Beyer Peacock 2-4-0 Tank Loco No. 8. In M&SWJ plain maroon livery. This is kitbuilt in brass by Redcraft Engineering. Fitted with a Mashima or similar motor, single stage gearbox, Slaters wheels and basic cab detail. The model is lightly used but is a slightly hesitant runner and may just need a period of running-it. Although the model is based on a Manning Wardle kit the prototype loco was into service from Beyer Peacock & Company in 1884 for the Swindon, Marlborough and Andover Railway which became part of the Midland & South West Junction Railway. It was based at Swindon Town shed for most of its life and was withdrawn in 1918. £475.
