LPHT09. Gauge 1 Electric BR Riddles Standard Class 4MT 2-6-4 Tank Loco No. 80135. In lined BR green livery with late crest, as preserved, and shedplate 50A York. This is a brass model by Sancheng for Finescale Brass and has had very light use. The model is supplied in its original box. The prototype was into service from Brighton Works to Plaistow in April 1956. It went to Tilbury in November 1959 then Shrewsbury in July 1962, Oswestry from February 1963 to September 1964, then back to Shrewsbury from where it was withdrawn in July 1965. Finding her way to Dai Woodhams at Barry Docks meant survival was likely and she was rescued for preservation by the North York Moors Railway Trust in 1973, restoration commencing in 1977 with funding from a Dutch businessman. She continues as a stalwart of the North York Moors Railway. The livery represented here (BR lined green) is one carried in preservation but never in service. £1750.
