LGS55. BR ex-LNER Thompson Class A2 Pacific & Tender No. 60512 'Steady Aim'. In lined BR green with early crest and shedplate 50A York. This is from a DJH whitemetal and brass kit and is fitted with a Canon motor, multi-stage gearbox, Slaters wheels, and with excellent cab detail. This very substantial model has had light to medium use and is wired with reverse polarity (so 'forward' on the controller is 'reverse' and vice versa). The prototype was into service from Doncaster Works to Gateshead in August 1946. It quickly moved to Heaton then to York in December 1952 staying there until December 1962. It was withdrawn in June/July 1965 probably from Glasgow Polmadie although it may have seen a short period of service at Dundee Tay Bridge. RESERVED.
