LSL97. BR ex-GWR Collett 'Castle' 4-6-0 and Tender No. 5015 'Kingswear Castle'. Paired with a Collett 4000 gallon tender and in lined BR green with late crest and shedplate 82B St Philip's Marsh (Bristol). This is one of the recent production of 'Castles' by Lee Marsh Model Company (Limited Edition of approximately 140 models) and has had a short test run only (it has not yet been lubricated nor run-in). The model is fitted with fully working inside motion, compensated chassis on loco and tender, and superb cab detail as you would expect from Lee's very high standards. Also with opening smokebox door and tender water filler, amongst lots of other detail. Additionally fitted with DCC and sound using an ESU Loksound V5XL chip (address 5015) - I believe Cliff Williams has done the electronics for the LM 'Castles' so again the best man for the job. It will also run on DC with limited sound using the DCC blanking plug provided. The model comes in its original inner and outer boxes with maintenance/disassembly instructions, DCC instructions and with unused accessories, DCC blanking plug, plinth and gloves. Due to the value, shipping (UK and International) is by DHL only at cost price. The prototype was into service from Swindon Works in July 1932 to Cardiff Canton. It had many allocations during its life to all points of the GWR Compass including Old Oak Common, Plymouth Laira, Landore, Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton Stafford Road. Withdrawal came from Cardiff East Dock in April or May 1963 with its final journey taking it North to T.W. Ward at Sheffield, an unusual place for a GWR loco to go for disposal. £3000.
