LDS048. LNER ex-GNR Ivatt Class C1 4-4-2 Atlantic & Tender No. 4456 as a RESTORATION PROJECT. In lined LNER apple green livery. This is from an ACE brass kit and is fitted with an ABC gearbox, a Canon motor, Slaters wheels, and with very good cab detail. This is a used model with the following issues. (1) There is an extremely limited swing on the front bogie, also the bogie or bogie wheels are catching on the inside of the cylinders causing sparking. (2) Even in a straight line it is a reluctant runner. The prototype was into service from Doncaster Works in September 1910 as Great Northern Railway No. 1456, becoming LNER No. 4456 in 1924. It was later renumbered to LNER No. 2886 in the 1946 renumbering scheme and was withdrawn from Doncaster in August 1947. £395 as a RESTORATION PROJECT.
