LDTH20. GWR Churchward Class '42xx' 2-8-0 Tank Loco No. 4298. In plain GWR green livery, with medium weathering, and with 'Great Western' in gold shaded red as running in the 1920's up to 1934. This is from a brass kit and is fitted with a Portescap motor, turned steel wheels, compensation on all axles, removable roof, and with excellent cab detail. Additionally fitted with DCC and Sound using an ESU Loksound chip (address 4298). It runs fine on DCC but on DC there is sound but no movement. The model is lightly used. The prototype was into service from Swindon Works in October 1922 and was withdrawn from Llanelli in June 1963. Its final journey was back to Swindon where it resided in August 1963 but probably for not much longer. £895.
