LGS47. BR ex-LMS ex- Midland Railway Johnson Class '2P' 4-4-0 and Tender No. 40414. In BR lined black with early crest and shedplate 20F Skipton. This is from a JM brass kit (John Maidment/Just Magic) built and painted by David Southwell with his maker's plate on the underside. Fitted with a Maxon motor, ABC multi-stage gearbox, Slater's wheels, and with very good cab detail. The model is test run only, needs a period of running-in, and is supplied in its original box. The prototype was into service from Sharp Stewart & Co. in May 1892 as MR No. 2194, one of the '2183' class, renumbered to MR No. 414 in 1907. It was rebuilt as a '483' class 2P in 1914. It became BR No. 40414 in September 1950 at Skipton having moved from Leeds Holbeck in 1947. Its last move was to Burton in August 1956 from where it was withdrawn in January 1957. £895.
