LGS42. Highland Railway Drummond 'Small Ben' 4-4-0 and Tender No. 12 'Ben Hope'. In HR plain green livery. This is from a brass kit and is fitted with an ABC multi-stage gearbox, a motor similar to a Canon, Slaters wheels, and with very good cab detail. The model is lightly used and the motor/gearbox is a touch noisy. Note also that a fall plate is required between loco and tender, and extra weight would need to be added for serious haulage. The prototype was into service from Lochgorm Works in April 1900, one of a batch of 9 built there in 1899/1900. In total there were 20 'Small Bens' and 6 'Large Bens' built at different works between 1898 and 1906. No. 12 was withdrawn in 1947 as LMS No. 14408. £795.
