LGS48. BR ex- Southern Railway ex- SE&CR Maunsell 'N' Class 2-6-0 and Tender No. 31812. In lined BR black with early (small) crest and shedplate 73A Stewarts Lane. This is from a David Andrews brass kit built and painted to a good amateur standard. Fitted with an ABC multi-stage gearbox, Maxon motor, Slaters wheels, and with excellent cab detail. The model is lightly used. It has an electrical pickup missing (never fitted) from one of the leading driving wheels but runs fine with the 5 pickups fitted. The prototype was into service from Ashford Works of the South Eastern & Chatham Railway in August 1920 as SE&CR No. 812 becoming Southern Railway No. 1812 and subsequently, in 1948, BR No. 31812. It was withdrawn from Exmouth Junction in August 1964. The last 6 members of the class were withdrawn in 1966 with no survivors. £895.
