LCD04. BR ex- Great Western Rly Hawksworth 'Modified Hall' and Tender No. 7904 'Fountains Hall'. Paired with a Hawksworth tender and in lined BR green with late crest and shedplate 89C Machynlleth. This is kitbuilt from a brass kit by 'Kenscale' (with maker's plate on the underside) and fitted with a Canon or similar motor, ABC gearbox, Slaters wheels, compensation on the leading 2 driving axles and the centre and trailing tender axles, and with good cab detail. Additionally fitted with DCC and Sound using an ESU Loksound chip (address 7904). DCC instructions are provided. It will also run on DC power with limited sound functions. The model is lightly used. The prototype was into service from Swindon Works in April 1949 and was withdrawn from Oxford in January 1966. There is no record of it being at Machynlleth on the Cambrian section and this is unlikely due to the axle loading being too heavy. £1150.
