BR ex-LNER Gresley Class J39 0-6-0 and Tender No. 64965 — Steamline Ltd.

LRH12. BR ex-LNER Gresley Class J39 0-6-0 and Tender No. 64965. Paired with a LNER 4200 Gallon Group Standard tender and in plain BR black livery, weathered, with 'British Railways' in full on the tender and with shedplate 38A Colwick. This is a brass model by Sancheng for Tower Brass and has working inside motion, a compensated chassis on both loco and tender, and with excellent cab detail and crew. The model is lightly used and has a Kadee coupling on the tender and a screw coupling on the loco. It is supplied in its original box with instructions. The prototype was into service from Darlington Works to Norwich Thorpe in July 1938 as LNER No. 1974, becoming No. 4965 in the LNER 1946 renumbering scheme thence BR No. 64965. It was quite an early withdrawal, from Tilbury in March 1960, having been at Colwick in the early 1950's. £795.
