LPHG08. GWR Collet 'Hall' Class 4-6-0 and Tender No. 4965 'Rood Ashton Hall'. In lined GWR green livery with 'twin cities' crests as running circa 1927 to 1934. This is a brass model by Sancheng for Finescale Brass with all their usual refinements including excellent cab detail. It is supplied in its inner and outer boxes having been lightly used as a display case model. The prototype was into service from Swindon Works in December 1929 and was withdrawn from Oxford in March 1962 after many allocations during its life between Penzance in the West and Old Oak Common in the East. Fate took it to Woodhams at Barry from where it became the first Barry 'Hall' to be rescued for preservation, by 7029 Clun Castle Ltd. (but they thought they were buying No. 4983 'Albert Hall' which is a story in itself). Currently at Tyseley awaiting restoration. SOLD.
