LJEP29. GWR Dean 'Duke' Class 4-4-0 and Tender No. 3277 'Earl of Devon'. In fully lined and panelled GWR livery with scroll crest as running circa 1897 to 1906. This is from a Martin Finney brass kit built by Brian Hawkes and painted by Alan Brackenborough. Fitted with an ABC multi-stage gearbox, Slaters wheels on the loco with cast steel tender wheels, a tiny bit of compensation on the driving axles, American pickup system, working inside motion, and with excellent cab detail and crew. The model has had light to medium use with one or two minor marks on the paintwork. The prototype was into service from Swindon Works in January 1897 as No. 3277, renumbered to No. 3270 in 1912. It was rebuilt as part of a 'Dukedog' in May 1930 (with the name removed) and was withdrawn from service in April 1939. £2200.
