BR Ex-LNER Thompson Class B1 4-6-0 and Tender No. 61189 'Sir William Gray' — Steamline Ltd.

LPHG07. BR Ex-LNER Thompson Class B1 4-6-0 and Tender No. 61189 'Sir William Gray'. In lined BR black with early crest and shedplate 56F Low Moor (Bradford). This is a brass model by Sancheng for Finescale Brass with all their usual refinements including excellent cab detail. The 'B1' is generally regarded as one of the best (and possibly the best) of the models produced by Sancheng for Finescale Brass. It is supplied in its inner and outer boxes having been lightly used as a display case model. The prototypes were mostly built at Darlington Works with some contracted out to the North British Locomotive Company at Glasgow. LNER No. 1189 was into service from the builders in August 1947, becoming BR No. 61189 in 1948, and was withdrawn from York in May 1967. SOLD.
