LEI02. BR ex- GWR Collett 'Manor' 4-6-0 and Tender No. 7827 'Lydham Manor'. In lined BR green with late crest and shedplate 89A Oswestry. This is an older scratchbuilt model in brass to a heavy standard of construction, professionally painted by Conrad Cooper. Fitted with a Leakey motor, single stage gearbox, solid cast wheels, and very basic cab detail. The model is lightly used. The prototype was into service from Swindon Works in December 1950 (so only ever a BR loco) and was withdrawn from Shrewsbury in October 1965 having been at Oswestry from September 1958 to December 1963. Fate took it to Woodhams at Barry Docks so its rescue was almost certain as the light axle loading of the 'Manors' makes them perfect for preserved railways. Now based at the Darmouth Steam Railway. £450.
