LKR34. GWR Dean Class '36xx' 2-4-2 Tank Loco No. 3628. In plain unlined GWR green with 'Great Western' in gold shaded red as running in the post-war austerity livery circa 1919 - 1934. This is from a brass kit built by Laurie Griffin with his brass plate on the underside 'Laurie Griffin Model Locomotives'. Fitted with a Portescap motor/gearbox, Slaters wheels, compensation on the leading driving axle, and very good cab detail with removable roof. Screw couplings fitted. The model is lightly used and the motor/gearbox combination is a touch noisy. The prototype was into service from Swindon Works in December 1903 primarily (as a class) for fast suburban services, had a superheated boiler fitted in 1920, and was withdrawn in November 1934. £795.
