LWA08. Great Central Railway Robinson Class 9Q 4-6-0 Loco and Tender No. 468. In GCR freight or mixed traffic black livery. This is from a Gladiator brass kit professionally built and painted and fitted with an ABC gearbox with Canon or similar motor, turned steel wheels, American pickup system, a little bit of compensation on the tender, and with excellent cab detail. Additionally fitted with DCC (no sound) using a Train Control System (TCS) chip, address 468. The model is very lightly used. The prototype was into service from Gorton Works in 1921/22 as one of a class of mixed traffic locos designed for fast freight and occasional passenger duties. It became LNER No. 5468 and later, in the 1946 renumbering scheme, became LNER. No. 1376. As BR No. 61376 it was withdrawn from Gorton shed in December 1948 having spent its last 5 years there. It is rare to see a loco modelled in the GCR mixed traffic black livery. £1495.
