LSF06. North Eastern Railway Worsdell Class 'P2' 0-6-0 Loco and Tender No. 1003. LNER Class J27. In fully lined NER black freight livery. This is a factory produced model by DJH from their own whitemetal and brass kit and fitted with a multi-stage gearbox (probably with DJH's own motor type), Slaters wheels, dummy inside motion and with very good cab detail and crew. The model is lightly used and is supplied in its original DJH box. Please note that the loco has two small chips to the boiler paintwork. The NER 'P2' class were a class of 50 locos designed by Wilson Worsdell and built between 1904 and 1908 either at Darlington or Gateshead Works. All survived into BR days and were withdrawn between 1952 and 1966 with no survivors. NER No. 1003 new from Darlington Works in June 1908 carried this number through LNER days to 1946 when in the LNER renumbering scheme it became No. 5801 and subsequently BR No. 65801. It was a very long term North Blyth resident from where it was withdrawn in July 1966. £1200.
