LWA09. Great Eastern Railway Worsdell Class Y14 0-6-0 Loco and Tender No. 564. LNER class J15. In fully lined GER ultramarine blue livery. This was recently completed from a Connoisseur Models brass kit by a top class modelmaker, and professionally painted by Conrad Cooper using Craftmaster paint (as used to paint Great Eastern locos in the National Collection). Fitted with a Maxxon motor, ABC multi-stage gearbox, Slaters wheels and with excellent cab detail. The model is test run only. The prototype was into service from Stratford Works in March 1912 as GER No. 564. It became LNER No. 7564 in 1924 subsequently renumbered to No. 5462 in the LNER 1946 renumbering scheme. As BR No. 65462 it was a long term Lowestoft loco before moving to Stratford from where it was withdrawn in September 1962. After a short period in storage at Stratford it was purchased for preservation by the Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway Society and is based at the North Norfolk Railway. RESERVED.
