CKR06. LNER ex- North Eastern Railway Dynamometer Car No. 23591. In LNER lined teak Livery. This is a brass model by F.C. Models of Korea for Golden Age Models and is fitted with superb interior detail and with working interior lighting, and is very free running on roller bearing axles. The model is supplied in its original box having been very lightly used. The prototype is the ex- North Eastern Railway Dynamometer Car built at Darlington Works in 1906 and originally numbered No. 3591. It was renumbered by the LNER in 1924 to No. 3591Y then renumbered again to No. 23591 in 1928 after the fitting of a new design of Gresley bogies. This is the Dynamometer Car used for recording No. 4468 Mallard's record run in 1938. It was later renumbered to No. 902502 and used in the 1948 Locomotive Exchanges. Subsequently preserved at the National Railway Museum. £695.
